Emblems
Advantages and Features
The Process: - A die is cut to the image of your design (repeat orders save on this step). Your image is stamped on the sheet of iron or copper. Copper is a softer metal and allows a sharper image at a slighly higher cost than iron. Cutting molds are made separately, and the pins are cut out to the outline of the design shape. Plating is done next: for this type of pin the most common is gold on gold, but other metal platings such as silver and black nickel are available. The raised metal surfaces are then highly polished to a luster finish while recessed areas filled with enamel paint or left empty to give a 2 tone look.
Advantages and Features
The Process: - Are die-struck from a copper bronze surface. A die is created to imprint your design into the metal. The outline of the pin and any cut-outs are then cut with another mold. Colors are hand-filled with a powdered glass-like mixture. Colors are fired one at a time at 1,600 F for two to four minutes. This two step process insures that bleeding of colors does not occur. Next, the pins are individually hand polished and then gold or silver plated. Then each pin is inspected to ensure only the highest quality is individually packaged and sent to us for final inspection. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
